2027 Cruises to Alaska

I love cruising almost anywhere!  Alaska is, in fact, one destination that is best seen from the decks of a cruise ship!  While visiting Alaska is wonderful regardless of the transportation method, cruising can relieve  some of the stress.  There is no need to spend your time navigating the state’s ferries and flights.  The cruise ship takes care of the logistics-you can relax and enjoy  the excursions – also handled by the ship!   If  you are considering an Alaskan cruise in 2027 now is the time to book.  They sell out early!

The Last Frontier state is a wonderful destination for both experienced and first-time sailors.  Each cruise line offers a different experience with unique shore excursions, and more!  Most Alaskan cruises sail from Seattle or Vancouver.  Unsure what cruise line to take?  Let’s take a look at three popular lines that sail Alaska.

Princess Cruises:  Princess’ diverse itineraries are some of the most popular in Alaska, in part because of its Cruisetours, which combine a traditional voyage with a multi-night land tour. If you have cruised Alaska before and are a thinking about a second cruise, Princess is a good place to take a look. First-time cruisers will enjoy it as well.

These two-in-one vacations are becoming increasingly popular in Alaska, and  in this regard Princess is top-notch!  The cruise line owns rail cars and five wilderness lodges across Alaska, which means your transition from land to sea will be seamless. It’s a great way to experience the state from two vantage points, and gives you the best chance of seeing wildlife such as  moose, caribou, grizzly bears, and wolves.

Royal Caribbean:  Bringing kids? Royal Caribbean ships are as much a destination as the state itself, with onboard amenities sure to enthrall the kids. Think skydiving simulators, rock climbing walls, and bumper cars. (If you need a “me day,” you can also drop them off at the daycare clubs and head for the spa!)  This is the premier cruise line for family tours to Alaska!

UnCruise Adventures: If you’re craving an active trip, consider the all-inclusive UnCruise Adventures. It recently won Cruise Critic’s 2026 “Best in Alaska (Expedition Category)” award. The expedition cruise line is known for its smaller vessels and wildlife-focused itineraries. In Alaska, smaller ships typically mean better wildlife viewing, a more intimate atmosphere, and fewer crowds at port. Plus, most shore excursions are covered in the fare.

  3. Princess does a good Alaska cruise. I do like the idea of the two in one with both land and cruise. I think that another trip could be a good idea.
