Mexico City is growing and is expected to continue being a major attraction through 2026 and into 2027. Why? Here are a few examples to whet your appetite! This global art destination is attracting travelers who chose it specifically for its dedication to art. It boasts more than 150 museums, including the home of Frida Kahlo, known as Casa Azul, her birthplace and in fact, where she lived her entire life. Diego Rivera’s murals are featured as well. You can also view the Museo Jumex, which houses well-known current artists such as Jeff Koons, Abraham Cruzvillegas and Mario Garcia Torres. Check out the Museo Soumaya to see the largest collection of Rodin outside of France. Make sure to visit Zona Marco, Latin America’s largest contemporary art fair, which happens each February,
Ok, let’s say you love art but would also enjoy other places in this great city. There are natural wine bars that are beloved by both natives and tourists. One of the most relaxing places to visit are the urban green spaces. These spaces are parks with community gardens and outdoor seating. On the weekends they have artisan markets you can browse.
Think about a visit to Mexico City’s Historic Center, a UNESCO district. For the best view walk through it. You may also want to choose one of the many available daytrips. There are numerous ones to choose and it is a guarantee you will find one you will enjoy! Mexico City is huge and it is difficult to see all of it. To solve that problem, take one of the cable car routes and get an overview of the entire city!
You simply cannot forget the wonderful weather! Daytime highs range from 72 to 83 with night temperatures in the 43-57 range. Visit the city anytime but March through May is especially nice. There is very little rain and the Jacaranda trees are in full bloom adding to the brightness of the city! June through September is the low season and it features the warmest and wettest weather. November to February is cooler but has little rain.
This is just a small overview of the city. If you are planning a trip, make sure you do some research before leaving and go and enjoy yourself!
I can confidently recommend this.
