It has been a long time since our last cruise. This is our second with Holland America and we are having a great time. While it does seem familiar, the ship seems larger than we remember. Yesterday and today are sea days – no shore excursions, just long, lazy days on the ship. We rather like them! Although this cruise is about visiting other countries and cultures it is much more than that. To use an old cliche, the journey is the destination -at least a big part of it ! Take time to savor the experience! Kick back and allow the ocean to soothe and mesmerize you! There are plenty of days left for exploration!
Tomorrow we will explore! After two days on the ocean traveling from Chile, we now have 4 days in Peru to wander and investigate! It is going to be hot- unlike our travels up to now. Hats, sunscreen, sun glasses and lots of water–this part of the country is a desert, folks! You don’t have to tell this redhead twice! We will spend the majority of our day in the Paracas National Reserve. I will report what we find there!
