One of the most recent trends in travel is an upswing in back-to-back cruises. If you love cruising, read on! Discover one of the newest and most interesting changes in the travel industry!
What do you do at the end of a cruise? If you are like many travelers, your rush for the airport- a stressful ending to a relaxing experience. How about an alternate ending that will actually add rest and relaxation as well as providing savings? Enter the world of back-to-back cruising where you combine two or more sailings. Many cruisers combine two 7 day cruises providing a two week vacation with new and different experiences. The benefits can be quite substantial. Combining two unique sailings costs much less than taking two separate trips. The cost per night is reduced with air travel cut in half and reduced hotel expenses. In addition, you may also receive onboard credit!
You will have more time to enjoy the on-ship amenities -no need to rush on this type of travel! You’ll recognize the staff a bit better and generally have the same stateroom attendant as before.. This provides a sense of ease and comfort and the ability to relax and enjoy. Yes, you will need to pack a bit more but most ships have laundry services and on some the price is reduced.
So how does turnaround day work? You generally will have the option to stay on the ship or go ashore. You might enjoy leaving for a while if the port is new to you. The crew is quite helpful in getting you through any customs and immigration procedure. In fact, the staff will guide guests through requirements.
Interested in exploring further? While you can certainly do the arrangements, it can be helpful to get the guidance of a knowledgeable cruise expert! Go, relax, enjoy and explore! You’ll have a blast! Happy Sailing!
It sounds good but I don’t see how the overall charge is decreased unless they charged less for the cruise itself.
You would need to check with the cruiseline about the price. Thanks for your comment!
