While individual tastes may vary, most of us love music. If you have heard live music, you know it is a very different experience than listening through headphones or speakers. What takes it even one step further? Let’s move it to the great outdoors- and bump it up one step higher! There is nothing quite like hearing your favorite performers in a gorgeous natural setting. Let’s take a look at two such locations!
RED ROCKS – This has to be at the top of any list of outdoor venues. The scenery is breath-taking with rocks soaring over 6,000 feet. And yep, they are red! Base yourself in Denver, the better to visit all the surrounding beauty. Red Rocks is one of the most astounding sites you will see. Located less than 10 miles from the city, it is an awesome experience to contrast the Denver skyline with the towering mountains. They book some of the best performers and with a capacity of over 10,000 there are plenty of seats for everyone. Try one of their July 4th shows-but book it soon. They sell out remarkably fast!
LAKE TAHOE, NEVADA – This outdoor arena will leave you breathless! The lake borders this venue and mountains sprawl around it. Stateline, Nevada, which has less than 1,000 residents is the location and it is definitely off the beaten path! Despite its remote locale, it nonetheless can hold 9300 music lovers. It also offers seats that are ADA approved so that we all can enjoy the music
These are certainly not the only outdoor venues in the US. In a future post I will spotlight more!
