I am not a fan of flying and avoid it whenever possible. Despite hundreds of flights, I continue to view each one with a mixture of dread and irritation. Let’s face it, economy flights are uncomfortable and have become more so over time. I have not flown business class since my company road warrior days. I simply will not pay the exorbitant fares so I end up sulking in economy with no leg room and packs of pretzels.
There are, however, a few airlines that do offer less expensive business class flights. Not cheap exactly but definitely less expensive. Here are a few that fit into that category:
LATAM – I have a love affair with Latin America. If you share that interest be sure to check LATAM, a South American carrier that provides a more acceptable fare. The seats lie flat with a full bedding kit and mattress. Their meal service features South American wine as well as steak, fish and other options. Currently, a non-stop flight from Miami to Lima starts at around $1200.00
JET BLUE MINT – Are you more interested in flights within the US? With its mix of lie-flat seats and private suites with doors. If you’re looking for some of the best fares available you need to take a look. Great food as Jet Blue has partnered with New York’s restaurant group Delicious Hospitality. One way tickets start at around $700.00. Fly New York City to LA for an around $2000.00.
If you live on the west coast and want a Hawaiian vacation, Hawaiian Airlines flies from some west coast cities (Seattle comes to mind) where you can purchase round-trip tickets starting at $2000.00.
Other airlines worth a good look include Finnair Business Light, and Icelandair( with a $1600 round-trip flight from Boston to Reykjavik.)
Happy Flying!
One should also consider the impact of flying as opposed to train travel. The earth’s resources are finite. Let’s not use them all up , leave some for the future. Especially clean air water and overcrowding.
Thanks for your comment!
Your mode of explaining everything in this is pleasant. Thanks a lot.
Thanks!
