Doesn’t everybody love Spring? It’s warm, everything is blooming and there is that exquisite shade of green that is seen only in early spring. It is that exact shade that makes me think of Ireland. While Ireland is a small country, there is something there that nearly everyone will enjoy! The tourist destinations are something you should see, but there is so much more there to love!
Today I am going to talk about Dublin, Ireland’s capital. The people are great and the city is one of the most vibrant in Europe. You can spend a little time unearthing Viking history. You can visit Kilmainham Gaol, where Irish leaders were once held during a rebellion against the British. Go see St James Gate, the home of the original brewery for Guinness. History is simply everywhere-you just have to reach out and grab it!
In the evening, visit the Temple Bar for traditional music and a wide-open fun atmosphere . There are a variety of local bars and nightclubs that surpass what you typically see in the US.
Dublin is the gateway to Ireland-spend a bit of time here and then venture out to the rest of the island!
