Hi folks! Today I want to mention one of my favorite cities: Santa Fe, New Mexico! In addition to its beauty, it also has low humidity and at 7200 ft, the highest elevation of any US capital city! (yes, it is higher than Denver) If you love the outdoors, art, museums and stunning vistas, this is the place you need to be!
This is one of the largest art markets in the country. Art is simply everywhere. You can see the work of local artists in the galleries on Canyon Road. The most famous artist from SF is, of course, Georgia O’keefe. We spent a long time in her museum-it is simply stunning! Also visit the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts.
Love the outdoors? Stretch your legs by taking a walk around the city. Then take a visit to the Santa Fe National Forest. It is a must-see in autumn with all the brightly colored leaves. Great camping, hiking and fishing. Or go to one of the great hiking trails that you can easily access from Santa Fe: Picacho Peak Trail and climb one of the highest hills visible from town. It is worth the climb just for the pictures you can take! Check out Bandelier National Monument Area with its caves and petroglyphs. These are just two of many available natural sites you will enjoy!
Get up with me and let’s discuss!
