Visiting our national parks is a journey into our history. 63 different parks located in 30 different states, there are parks that can be explored during all 4 Seasons. Today I will focus on Glacier National Park in Montana with its stunning landscapes and vistas.

Located in northwest Montana, it has mountains, lots of wildlife and lush green valleys. There are over 700 miles of trails, bright blue lakes and meadows. There are a lot of things to do in this park. One of the most well-known adventures is a drive down Going-to-the-Sun Road, easily one of the most breathtaking drives you have ever had. It is also perched on the very edge of steep mountains. If you are nervous about driving it yourself, you can take a bus or one of the many tours available during the summer. The best time for this drive is mid-July through August. It is often impassable at other times. Other activities such as river floats, rafting guided hikes and tours and much more are available. Wildlife is everywhere so make sure you have your camera at the ready!
The nearest airport is in Kalispell, Montana. If you enjoy trains, take one from the Eastern US. and have a relaxing journey there. My husband and I did that and found it really enjoyable. There are a number of hotels and lodgings in the area, and camping is available
