While looking through my posts I quickly noticed that many focus on cruises. I love cruises and know that many of you do as well. Enough cruising for now! I am going to focus on land travel in the US. It is, after all, my country, and has so much to offer!
There are so many benefits to national travel. No passport or visa needed and no issues that international travelers often face. If a vacationer needs medical attention, for example, it will be readily available.. The often extensive planning required for an international trip is not needed. So go ahead and be spontaneous! If you are interested in a weekend trip, it can be planned at the last minute!
Our country is diverse. Think of Boston and compare it to Charleston– two entirely different cultures and experiences. Tired of the cold? Jet off to San Diego or Miami! This type of travel supports local economies. You’ll help contribute to the small businesses and restaurants, all the while having a great time. Our national park system is top-notch. Although the parks vary widely they all showcase our national treasures. Compare Yosemite to the Great Smoky Mountains or the Dry Tortugas. Visit them all!
Try a roadtrip. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Pacific Coast Highway are two you can easily explore. Stop off in small towns to explore or spend a night. Is train travel your thing? Amtrak has numerous routes throughout the country. Their scenic routes are not to be missed! They are also easy on the wallet – always a bonus!
Take a chance on the US and discover how much we have to offer!
