As some of you know, I am a big fan of Latin America! While I have visited some of its countries, I want to visit more! So many countries with so much to offer: the Amazon River, jungles, deserts, waterfalls, and two oceans! For me, it is a difficult decision to make but fortunately, I am taking a cruise with multiple stops along the way. It hugs the Pacific coast and into the Caribbean. I will be blogging about it, of course! Today, I will take a brief look at Paraguay, a country not visited on this trip
Paraguay, a land-locked country that borders Brazil, Argentina, and Bolivia is one of the least visited countries in South America. That is starting to change, however, as there was a 55% increase in tourism last year. Visit now before it is filled with sightseers! Fly into Asuncion, the capital and start exploring there! It is low-key, historical, and lovely. Put on your walking shoes and start your stroll in the recently restored historic center. Visit the old railway station built by the British in the 1800’s. If you enjoy contemporary art, you must see the Fundacion Texo. While there is so much more to see, do remember that Paraguay’s cuisine is rumored to be delicious! No need to restrict yourself to the city, however, take one of the multiple waterfall tours! There is plenty to do here and you do not have to look hard to find it!
Never been there but it sounds nice. It sounds like a relaxing place.
