The coral island Barbados is located in the eastern Caribbean. Yes, it has white powder beaches, fantastic snorkeling or scuba diving (where you are likely to see a shipwreck). If you are interested in water sports, head to the south coast where you can kayak, go deep sea fishing or look for those shipwrecks. If you are more interested in relaxing on the beach, the west coast might be the place for you.
While the beaches are as wonderful as you knew they would be, Barbados offers much more! It is considered by some to have the best cuisine in the Caribbean, and of course there is the rum!
It also has an interesting architectural heritage. At one time there were over 700 sugar plantations, many of which now house shops and different businesses. If you enjoy nature and the outdoors, you can break away from the beaches to find beautiful botanical gardens with a wide variety of orchids. The Barbados Wildlife Preserve, in the north of the island, is the home of the green monkeys, originally brought from Africa. There is a cave system , stretching a mile long that you can travel by tram, as well as subterranean waterfalls.
Anyone who loves the Caribbean will enjoy Barbados-an island of beautiful beaches AND much more!
I get the point, thank you for the information.
