I don’t know about you but I have always loved a good spa! There is nothing as soul-affirming as a long day lounging and indulgence. Wellness is big business and Cruise ships know this. Most lines have a sort of spa and some have actually turned wellness into a main attraction! If you are planning a cruise, especially one of the longer variety, try to book your appointment prior to the cruise. Demand for spa services is especially high on sea days, so check your ship’s website and book prior to boarding. Here are brief descriptions of several Cruise Lines Wellness offerings.
CUNARD – Cunard’s spa experience is all about serenity. The Aqua Therapy Center has steam rooms, saunas and even a cold room (YIKES!) If you book a treatment, you’ll have same-day access to the thermal suite.
CELEBRITY – Celebrity offers more than 120 different treatments such as Caribbean Coconut wraps, Baltic Soapstone exfoliation and much more. On their Millenium and Solstice class ships, it is even more luxurious with herbal saunas, sensory showers, and the list goes on!
MSC – MSC spas are all about the Thermal Area – which is available by reservation. Treat yourself to the hydrotherapy pool with steam rooms, Finnish saunas and an ice fountain.
Most cruise lines have a spa and/or Wellness area. Viking, Crystal, and Regent are also known for their excellent Wellness offerings. Have you ever had a massage or other treatment on a cruise ship? If so, share your experience in the comments!
