Burlington, Vermont

Vermon autumn-lake-scene-with-wooden-chairs

Located between the Green and the Adirondack mountains  and just 45 miles from the Canadian border, this town combines charm, culture, arts and a lively food scene with world class restaurants. For some reason, I rarely go to the Northeast, particularly New England.  Burlington, however, is worth a good look.  It looks exactly what you expect a New England town to look like- quaint and charming.  Better known as a winter destination with 5 ski areas nearby, Burlington is also a wonderful destination in warmer months. There is a  lot to see and do in the historic downtown which is  with its small businesses and shops.  Meander through the town or take a bike ride on the path at Lake Champlain.   A truly perfect spot for Labor Day or any long weekend.  Take a look and see!
