Ireland part 2

Cliffs-of-Moher-scaled-1

Galway

Galway, on Ireland’s west coast, was named the European Capital of Culture in 2020, and for good reason.  It does not look urban but rather like a local town with a Bohemian flair.

The cliffs of Moher are what generally brings people to Galway.  Yes, they are beautiful and give a real sense of awe.  For me, it was the same feeling I had when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time.  They look nothing alike, but they inspire a similar feeling.

The city itself is much more culture-driven than Dublin. Walking the streets feels almost medieval.  It is easy to talk and interact with the locals. At night, the city comes alive with music simply everywhere. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable and it would actually be difficult to have a bad time!
